Golf is a "people's business," and this wonderful project was realized thanks to the dedication of several members and officials at the WRGC. Clubtags manufactures the new bag tags for the Wentorf Reinbek Golf Club from cast metal with subsequent black electroplating. These golf bag tags come from the PREMIUM Line product line. The club logo's bold and traditional colors were created using enamel. A small recess beneath the circular logo holds the annual stamps. The individual names of club members are engraved on the backs of the new bag tags. The new bag tags were issued in spring 2025.
Hamburg merchants founded the Wentorf-Reinbek Golf Club (WRGC) in 1901. This makes the WRGC the fourth oldest golf club in Germany. The initiative for its founding came from English people living in Hamburg, in particular from Arthur E. Dodd, who was also an outstanding player.
The golf course is located on the edge of the Sachsenwald forest in eastern Hamburg and offers a scenic 18-hole course measuring nearly 6.000 meters. The course is characterized by its mature trees, which make the fairways relatively narrow and thus demand a high degree of precision. Some greens are protected by water hazards and feature challenging breaks, further emphasizing the course's sporting demands.
For practice purposes, a driving range with covered and uncovered teeing areas, a putting and pitching green, and a practice bunker are available. Guests are welcome but require a DGV (German Golf Association) or equivalent certification with a minimum handicap of -36 to play on the course. Clubs and trolleys can be rented upon request.
Current information and news, such as the introduction of new BagTags in April 2025 or the competition calendar for 2025, are regularly published on the club website.
